I just got a gym membership today. I’d been doing a lot of walking around my neighborhood and stuff after work but I got mugged last night and I feel like it’s time to move on. I was going to start doing this full body workout I saw on Lifehacker a few months ago, but I’d love to hear if anyone has any suggestions for what to do. I’ve had a lot of success with weight loss so far, so I don’t want to let this torpedo me!

My husband and I are both doing the Strong Lifts program. There’s an app, great videos to show form, and I now have some serious guns. The Lifehacker plan looks good, but I would argue that if you haven’t been lifting at all, the lifehacker workout might overwhelm your body. Strong Lifts is great because it starts you off at the beginning and you notice results immediately. By “results,” I mean, you go up in weight each time you workout, which might sound impossible, but it totally works. Good luck sir!
