Does anyone have recommendations? I only know about MC Frontalot an Optimus Rhyme and I love them both but I need some more geeky music, please!

Random a.k.a MegaRan is pretty dope.  He’s the artist behind the Black and White Materia mixtapes – based on the Final Fantasy series.  And he’s from my hometown so big ups!  Adam Warrock is fairly new to my playlist.  He hasn’t settled in yet but his music seems promising.

What are we considering nerdcore music?  I’m thinking Dangerdoom – the Mouse and the Mask.  Has a lot of Adult Swim reference.

i really liked ‘The Mouse and the Mask’.

    i’m a fan of Professor Elemental‘s take on chap-hop.

(Also see Mr. B, but I’m a bigger fan of The Professor.)

I never referred to it as NerdCore in the past, I just know people categorized it as such.  In the case of the artists I posted: Random a.k.a Mega Ran (whose name is taken from Capcom’s Mega Man) samples video game music from the 80′s and speak from the characters perspective on many tracks and Adam Warrock has tracks named after Marvel and DC events with heavy comic references.  Random is straight up hip-hop where Adam is more Nerdcore with an MC Frontalot sound.
