I’m not sure. His behavior was soooo unbelievable, it’s hard to imagine that the present factors didn’t deter him. He spoke directly to the mother, assaulted a toddler, in the presence of all those people. What I think is really interesting is that the child is adopted and the parents are white. I can’t imagine the mother ever thought she would hear that slur used to her face. Also, I wonder if he would have said that if the mother was black. What’s for sure is he deserves the max sentence. On a little of a jump….could it be considered a hate crime?
