@ljoywilliams, I have repeatedly asked my own rep.(Eric Cantor-R VA) why the GOP fought reauthorization this year; crickets were heard but not a word. Would you try to find a Republican to come on your show to lay out their case? I just don’t get it.
Repubs don’t want immigrants ( you know what kind I mean) to gaining status by claiming victimhood asylum and getting granted VAWA visa’s and also they dont want the Bureau of Indian affairs to be able to prosecute “real Americans” for violence against um lets see….Realer Americans is that the term we use, I dont know.
The repubs see women as lower on the hierarchy than men. It is part of what I call “freedomination”, which means they think that part of freedom is the power to dominate people with lower social standing. Allowing women, gays, minority populations any protection makes them have to give a rats kiester about someone they see as beneath them. It makes them have to worry about getting actually prosecuted for exercising their god-given right to crap on people .
