TWIB’s Elon James White is no stranger to trolls, he’s been tackling American racial politics for years. Recently his feed was graced with this tweet:

He couldn’t stand idly by while a Twitter troll aimed his ire at the people of Ferguson, a community who just laid to rest a teenager who’s killer is still free. Rather than waste time arguing with a bigot, Elon reached out to see just how much and why #WeCareAboutFerguson. The responses came pouring in by the hundreds:

 

 

 

 

 

 

That’s a lot of caring! Even the mecca of hashtags paid their respects:

People cared outside of the US, too.

People not only cared but they were angry:

 

In a few hours one thing was perfectly clear:

As cathartic as it is to share our emotions and tell one another how much we care, the most important thing we can do it this:
