I am a huge Sci-fi/Fantasy nerd.
If there’s something supernatural/mythical or futuristic there’s a solid chance that I’d probably watch/read it once; if for no other reason just to have the footage/story logged in my head for later mocking. So when this particular news article came across my #Twitter feed I immediately felt compelled to read it.

I get a wide range of responses to what I do as a writer/commentator and to whats posted on This Week in Blackness.
If you’ve read some of the comments on this site (before the comment system disaster of late 2010 which erased everything. Damn you disqus!) You’ve seen some magically stupid responses to posts and videos here. It’s not about whether they agree with the writers or me or not (because I don’t have an issue when people say “ELON YOU ARE WRONG!” My friends do it regularly.) but some of the content of the comments can make you go “What the…no this so-and-so didn’t just…” But Its cool. It comes with the territory.
But this morning when I woke up I found an email that had the name *CENSORED* attached to it as the “sender.” (The email was also attached to this *CENSORED*) Apparently *CENSORED*, an *CENSORED*, decided he needed to express some feelings about TWiB!. The following is what was in his magical email. His words are in red and mine are in blue because in this scenario I’m on the side of good and he’s obviously an idiot.
To be fair, Sarah Palin misspoke here by calling North Korea our allies. At least I hope that’s the case.
When you hear someone complaining about all the “bailouts” in an effort to bash the Obama administration, forward this video to them.
After watching the interview last night on Larry King Live with Mel Gibson’s former girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, I’m in awe of her bravery and sincerity. I now understand why Mel Gibson and his lawyers did not want to allow Oksana to speak about this in front of a camera. She is believable. When asked why she wanted to speak out publicly Oksana says she wanted stand up not only for herself but for all of the other victims of domestic violence who don’t have the privilege of speaking out. They are forced into silence.
At the end of this safe sex advertisement, Bristol Palin should have taken the condom from The Situation. It’s fine to support abstinence and all but chick that stance didn’t work so well the first time you tried. It’s time to keep it real.

Is anyone really surprised that George W. Bush’s memoir is a compilation of other people’s work? Isn’t that pretty much how he got to where he is today by half a** doing the work necessary? Talk about living up to your own narrative.
Republican Senate Candidate Joe Miller up in Alaska must be really desperate. In his recount with Lisa Murkowski who was the write in candidate last week (and who is on track to win), Miller’s campaign is challenging ballots that have the letter “L” in Lisa’s name written in cursive.
I think he’s means KANYE West right? Anyways I sure am happy that Matt Lauer made sure to as those hard hitting questions like “Why did you drop the ball on 9/11 and let all those people die?” why a rapper hurting his feelings was the worst moment of his entire presidency. Does anyone else not miss this guy? Also, Matt Lauer fails at every turn in making this interview anything more than allowing Bush to say bullcrap without any scrutiny. Just great.
First of all, why did Kanye apologize? That was one of the few media blow-ups that Kanye has had that I was actually totally with.
Or was it before this? Anywho, I’m pretty sure when you show up in someone’s bedroom to lipsynch in front of a webcam you can no longer proclaim you thugnificence. This video is pretty hilarious though. Keenan Cahill is the latest youtube sensation and this video was actually part of a recent episode of Chelsea Lately. So enjoy!
Keith Olbermann has been suspended indefinitely from MSNBC for political donations he made to 3 Democratic candidates. The MSNBC policy is that all donations must be approved ahead of time and it appears that Olbermann did not do that. It also appears that MSNBC is really overreacting here. Joe Scarborough has also donated to Republican candidates in the past and it’s not exactly like Keith is impartial or hiding his biases.
Statement from MSNBC reads:
I became aware of Keith’s political contributions late last night. Mindful of NBC News policy and standards, I have suspended him indefinitely without pay,” MSNBC president Phil Griffin said in a statement.
If it is the policy that all donations need to be approved ahead of time and if Olbermann failed to do that he violated the rules. That doesn’t mean he should be suspended indefinitely however. From the little we know about the policy at this point it really doesn’t seem to make a whole lot of sense because I don’t know how you would implement it across the board. That said suspended indefinitely sure sounds like fired but only time will tell.
