Some of you might be too young to remember the “high tech lynching” (or not) drama from the Clarence Thomas confirmation hearings back in 1991, but having read a lot of books, testimony, and news reports chronicling the entire episode, I believe Justice Clarence Thomas sexually harassed Anita Hill.

While the shocking allegations from the 1991 hearing have long been forgotten, Justice Thomas’ wife (And Tea Party Activist) Ginni wants you to know that she hasn’t forgotten and she called Anita Hill just last week to let her know the deal!

Okay so I’ve been meaning to write this post for a while now.  I’m a die hard fan of ‘Mad Men’ and have been since the Donald Draper’s “true identity” was revealed in Season One.  Over the show’s four award winning seasons, there has been a growing chorus of folks writing articles asking, “Why are there no black people on Mad Men?”  Please. Just. Stop.

No really. This happened. Like, in real life:

The exchange came in a debate before an audience of legal scholars and law students at Widener University Law School, as O’Donnell criticized Democratic nominee Chris Coons’ position that teaching creationism in public school would violate the First Amendment by promoting religious doctrine.

Coons said private and parochial schools are free to teach creationism but that “religious doctrine doesn’t belong in our public schools.”

“Where in the Constitution is the separation of church and state?” O’Donnell asked him.

When Coons responded that the First Amendment bars Congress from making laws respecting the establishment of religion, O’Donnell asked: “You’re telling me that’s in the First Amendment?”

Her comments, in a debate aired on radio station WDEL, generated a buzz in the audience.

“You actually audibly heard the crowd gasp,” Widener University political scientist Wesley Leckrone said after the debate, adding that it raised questions about O’Donnell’s grasp of the Constitution.

Oh, I know. You don’t believe me. You think this is just some weird “left leaning” article and blog right? Perhaps you need video of this tragic ignorance…

Yesterday I was inundated with tweets all linking to perhaps the most hilarious, but I’m fairly sure unintentional political website I’ve ever seen. It’s not like Christine O’Donnell’s which after you laugh you think “but she’s evil and needs to be stopped.” NY State gubernatorial candidate Jimmy McMillan is running on one platform and one platform alone…The Rent. Is. Too. Damn. High.
