And you are so right…I was alone while I watched the first twenty minutes, but I was hiding my face in shame. BET ought to be ashamed of itself. Yes, they only had three days to prepare, but damn, they had three days. I shouldn’t be surprised, though. The BET Awards are ALWAYS ghetto. just saw this. i don’t know what i have been doing without this site or elon in my life, but i have officially been made. i agree with everything 100% and cosign his entire well thought out rant, and and and i’m glad that i wasn’t the only one who saw the douchebaggery of joe jackson. seriously. black people. black men. black fathers…oh and the females no better either especially now that we have tiny and toya, neffie and what’s her face to look up to. i miss back in the day when naomi wa just throwing her weave at people, little kim, remy, and foxy were in jail (some still are) and left eye (RIP) was burning shit. like this is the shit that a youth has to look up to. watching the awards show was a great revelation to me because it was one of the only times me and my brother agreed on anything. we were both yelling at our tv’s. i was soooooooooo confused, pissed off, ashamed, humiliated, embarrassed, gutted, a little happy about a couple of performances, but all in all i felt so bad i just wish they hadn’t done it and i wished i hadn’t watched it. scratch that. we have the entire thing on VHS, nonetheless. i feel like such a twat. bet did this to me. i can’t even get my time back. i am officially giving up on them for good. it’s too much. it’s like the straw that broke the camel’s back. i don’t know how i can keep doing this and trying to defend them to my caucasian friends. you know and this is the truth. some caucasians come up to you and they ask you something and say is this true…because i saw it on bet and if i saw it on bet then it must be true. you know what bet, you must know people don’t use their brains to think…but that doesn’t mean you need to lower your standards. i am so disappointed. i feel like we letting our ancestors down and destroying everythign they fought for and what we should stand for. no we don’t need to be ashamed of urban culture, our music, our fashion, our entertainment, our culture, our life stories, BUT NOT IN THIS WAY BET. bet is dead to me. thanks elon.

Okay. I almost peed in my damn pants over this video. Sad but true. I know they had a short time to do this, but some people should have just not performed out of sheer respect. How can we honor the greatest entertainer EVER with “Hop up out my bed” blah blah blah and whatever the hell lil wayne and them were singing about. My hat does go off to Jamie Foxx and Neo for trying to hold it down. Sidenote–Beyonce needed to be slapped for that crap she pulled!
