I’m a Green Party member that is a campaign manager for Jeanine Estime (www.jeanineestime.org) who is running for City Council Ward 8 in Minneapolis. Unfortunately, they did not endorse her last weekend. Anyway we were talking about how hard it is as a black woman to walk in a room of white people, a lot of whom you don’t know, and try to seek their approval. There is another opportunity to endorse June 7th, so I said, “Next meeting I will have 20 black people here and we’ll out number the haters.”

Now people are accusing me of calling everyone in the room a hater, and a racist. Can you do an episode on the word hater, and what it means and that white people don’t have the freak out when they hear it?
