Have a look at Republican National Committee chairman candidate Michael Steele discussing how embarrassments like that “Barack the Magic Negro” CD distributed by another RNC chairman candidate, Chip Saltsman, hurt the image of the Republican party, especially now that they’re trying to attract more minorities.

“Oh, it doesn’t help at all,” he complains. “Absolutely, it reinforces a negative stereotype of the party.”
