First, I thought the joke was funny, but I would hate for Miss Wallis to find out about it. But more to the point, Miss Wallis is far from being the second African-American actress to be nominated in the leading category. Dorothy Dandridge, Diana Ross, Cicely Tyson, Angela Bassett, Gabourey Sidibe, Diahann Carroll, Whoopi Goldberg, Viola Davis, Halle Berry (won).
