BARATUNDE & ELON JAMES WHITE LIVE FROM BROOKLYN 2.20.13
Tonight!
This Week in Blackness: How to be Black
Humorists Baratunde Thurston and Elon James White share the stage for a night of comedy. Thurston is the author of How to be Black, which charts his over 30 years of being black, from his pro-black, Pan-Afrikan single mother who raised him during the crack years of 1980s Washington, DC, to his elite education at Sidwell Friends School and Harvard University. Elon James White is a comedian, writer and creator of the award-winning web series “This Week in Blackness”, a satirical look at race, politics and pop-culture in a so-called “post-racial” America and the award winning podcast “TWiB Radio!”.
This event is part of Brooklyn Public Library’s celebration of Black History Month.

Sigh… have to go into work right when it starts. GASP! Will there be video/audio uploaded somewhere?!
I’m sorry I couldn’t bring our mobile studio set up so there’s no audio/video. I’m sure we’ll be doing something in NYC again soon.
