The father who said “not one person can answer that question”. He made a statement and SPOKE FOR everyone. If no one spoke to him, then that would acknowledge he is right.
If a white man was grieving over the death of his child by the hands of black man and said “Blacks are savages. I don’t see why black people should have the rights of white people. Not one person can tell me why blacks should not be treated as 2nd class citizens” You would speak up wouldn’t you?
They yelled “2nd Amendment” because there was no time to have a drawn out discussion. That parent is so hurt, and he should be mourning over his daughter in private and not admonishing and arguing with gun rights advocates.
I call shenanigans sir. Saying that no one could come up with a reason why people needed guns like that and calling black folks savages are just completely different things and you can’t possibly create that comparison. And why would a man who believes his daughter died unnecessarily because of the proliferation of assault style guns simply be quiet and mourn? He shouldn’t speak up and be given the respect of someone who paid the ultimate price?
